Jim was saved Oct 5th 1980 and for many years served in a large Etobicoke church as worship leader, deacon and ran weekly classes for new converts. His journey is a story of a man standing firm for Jesus in the midst of personal tragedy. Come and hear Jim and be blessed.

FEBRUARY FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST

This was an amazing morning with a powerful testimony and message encouraging us to prepare for war. The word that the Lord had for us through Brad Israelson was, "CONSTITUTE A HEART FOR WAR". We must begin to stand up for our beliefs and we were all encouraged to sign a petition brought by Jim Irvine to keep the Lord's Prayer in the Ontario Parliament. I would also add that our local MPP Jim Wilson has an online petition and I would encourage everyone to click on his link below and sign that petition as well. This is Jim Wilson's position on this subject:
Simcoe-Grey MPP Jim Wilson responded to Dalton McGuinty's proposal to remove the Lord's Prayer from the Legislature today by asking "if Parliament doesn't keep our traditions, who will?""I'm a little tired of Christians having to give up their faith and their traditions," said Wilson. In pointing out that all of our laws and traditions are based on Judeo-Christian ethics, Wilson said that it is because of our traditions that so many immigrants have chosen to come to Ontario."This is just Dalton McGuinty trying to appease the very same religions he offended during the election," he said while also promising to fight the move. He suggested that other prayers be added instead of taking away the Lord's Prayer from the Legislature's daily proceedings.The local MPP is encouraging constituents to sign his petition to stop the change. It is available at his Alliston and Collingwood constituency offices and online at http://www.jimwilsonmpp.com/

I am pleased to announce that our guest speaker will be Brad Israelson
Brad Israelson is a graduate of Youth With A Mission, School of Evangelism. Brad traveled for many years in evangelism around the world touching countries like New Zealand, Ukraine, Costa Rica ect. Brad attended Living Faith Bible College in Caroline, Ab at which time he met his lovely wife Stephanie who is a singer/songwriter and recording artist. Brad initially felt the call to ministry at the age of 16, a farmer and rodeo cowboy from the little town of Amisk, Alberta.

FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST MEETINGS TO CONTINUE

I have just returned from a meeting with Gayle Woods owner of Goodies Cafe. Gayle suggested that for the month of February, Goodies could provide us with a continental breakfast consisting of muffins, danishes and fresh fruit, coffee, tea and juice. This would allow us to continue our monthly meetings which I believe have been a real blessing to many in our community. Brian Edwards, Galye's partner, should be finished his committment to the Alpine Ski Lodge after the March break and therefore the regular buffett breakfast could resume for the month of March.

Residing in Stayner, Chris and his wife of 8 years, Helen, are parents to Noah, 2 years old. Chris spends his days as chief custodian at Worsley Elementary School in Wasaga Beach, but is quite active after hours pursuing his love of hockey, volleyball and the UFC and is often found working with the youth program at Stayner Brethren in Christ Church. Chris became a believer at 10:51 p.m. on October 23 1995 and encourages you to come out on November 24 to hear the rest ofhis story.

Built for Adversity
Pat’s family, originally from Toronto, purchased a small cottage in Wasaga Beach, after the war in 1945 . Pat married Bob in 1955 and moved to Minesing where they raised four children. Widowed in 1992, she returned to the Beach and is now the proprietor of Big Oaks Cottages on 45th Street.
Life has held many challenges for her and she is thankful that God, early on, took hold of her life and has ever since proven Himself to be a sovereign, merciful and faithful God.

Ron Wilson

Ron grew up near Ravenna, Ontario. He knew God as early as he can recall and gave his life to Jesus at 13yrs. old.

He was baptized in the Holy Spirit at Bezek Centre, a boy's camp at 14yrs. old.

Ron has been involved in leading youth groups, as well as teaching Sunday school. He was also involved with Collingwood Christian Coffee House and Tobia (Christian young peoples meetings in Owen Sound) throughout his teenage years.

He traveled for 10 years (8.5 as a mission leader) with Covenant Players (International Repertory Theatre Company) throughout much of United States, England, Tanzania, Kenya, , Uganda, Wales and Germany and parts of Canada.

After returning to Canada to raise a family, he found himself back in Thornbury, Ontario surrounded by a wonderful crowd of witnesses.

PASSING OF OUR DEAR FRIEND JOHN

A touching tribute to John McGuire the "King of One Liners" who passed away last week was held at Clearview Community Church, Stayner on Thursday, June 28th, 2007. The church was packed with family and friends who came to pay their respect to the man who touched so many lives not only with his humour but also with his commitment to Jesus Christ. The service was conducted by Pastor Merv Brockwell and assisted by Pastors, Dale Shaw and Tony denBok. We all join together in offering our prayers and sympathy to the McGuire family.

SEASON END MEETING A REAL SUCCESS

This was a wonderful morning and what a surprise when people attending a conference at the home of John and Ann Smith, came to hear Doug Patterson speak. It was also the first time we have had three generations attend a breakfast together. We were pleased to see Ann Smith, two of her sons, Stephen and Matthew and grandson Jermome all enjoying the food and morning ministry. Below are some photos of this seasons closing meeting.
