Carol Flett

Carol began writing her first book in 1989, but then got sidetracked when her oil painting career started taking off. It took some severe circumstances to turn her and her husband away from the art scene, and onto the ministry path God wanted for them. In 2002 Carol realized that God was telling her to go back to her writing. The book, “Susie’s Story”, based on her mother’s life in Russia, would be used of God in a way that her oil paintings never could.
Carol and her husband have worked with Christian Schools, both here in Ontario, and on a First Nations Reserve in Northern Manitoba. The experience with the native people led Carol to write her second book “Gang Trouble”, a novel depicting life in a land in Canada where no roads go. The plot for this book was created by the children themselves during a workshop that Carol conducted on the Reserve, and reflects the heartaches and pains that are a common part of life for many of them.
Bruce and Carol are concerned with the school situation on the reserve, and have designated the proceeds from “Gang Trouble” to go back into that ministry.
Bruce and Carol are not concerned with denominational titles and have been active in ministry in various churches including Independent, Baptist, Native Evangelical Missions, and ALJC. They are founders of Faith Christian Mission, and Faith Christian Mission Publishing. Their home base is in Owen Sound, and when they are not on assignment somewhere else they attend the Rockcliffe Pentecostal Church.
